Launching a new web site in tough economic times isn’t that easy as you might imagine, even if we have quite some experience in it. Single parents are, despite the fact that there are 12.9 million of them in the U.S., a niche and a website that focuses on a limited market has to be backed by passion.
That is exactly what we do and we are proud that almost 18,000 people have visited Single Parent Gossip in October, and viewed almost 30,000 pages. We are excited about our site since it is unique in a very unique market. Single parenting has thousands of blogs, but not that many that are maintained on a daily basis. And, as far as we know, there are very few sites that run daily content on single parent news as well as single parent-focused gossip, which we believe can be very educational for the average single parent.
And yes, we are talking about Michael Lohan, Jon and Kate Gosselin, Sandra Bullock and Jesse James, as well as Sarah Palin here. As silly as those stories look at first sight, there is a lesson learned from celebrities
We have learned quite a bit in our first month – what works and what does not. And we will keep a close eye on what you tell us what you like and what you don’t. So keep the feedback coming! We will be reading every email and we will be answering most of your messages.
We have a few plans for month 2 in store, and we can’t wait to introduce them to you. Stay tuned as we expand our content into a much broader area and launch an entirely new service for single parents later this month.
