Marriage Derailed – Woods and Nordegren Splitting, Report Claims

If gossip paper News of the World is right, then there may not be much left for Tiger Woods to repair. According to sources the publication is quoting, Nordegren is simply keeping the peace over Christmas, but will be filing for legal separation and divorce soon thereafter.

We leave it up to you to decide how much truth may be in this report, but common sense suggests that 13 mistresses may be enough for Nordegren to feel that the golf superstar is not the man she thought he was and Woods’ weak apology may be too little to convince her otherwise.

News of the World’s sources said that “in the short-term [Tiger and Elin will] act like any other loving couple. Elin won’t break it all up right away. But she does need some time alone to herself and a legal separation will happen very quickly.” Apparently, she already has moved out of the $39 million Windemere, Florida, home to a separate house 200 yards down the road – and took the two children, two-year-old daughter Sam and 10-month-old son Charlie with her.

The publication claims that Nordegren is planning to move to a mansion she has bought on an island near Stockholm, which might be a bit difficult to achieve in the face of U.S. family law, but Woods may have to agree to, given the public pressure he is exposed to.

Despite his PR apology, it seems that Woods may only be at the beginning of a difficult journey for his family and himself. With reports that he is still in touch with at least one of the women, with sponsors dropping Woods promotions and a divorce that could cost him several hundred million dollars – Woods’ net worth reportedly approaches $1 billion – there is a lifetime of pain the golfer and his family could have never imagined.

I have to agree. I also think that Woods will have to hide for a long time.

Honestly, this is the best possible thing Elin can do for herself and her children....this will follow them everywhere and for years, hopefully she will be able to go back to her homeland with her children and be where they will have a happy and healthy life and never look back. I hope the best for them - Elin will move on after the grieving, the constant ruminating, she will be overwhelmed with the magnitude of it all, as this is and can be worse than death....but she will overcome it all in time. I have my own story and I know this to be true, you will find the strength Elin and you will get through this. Merry Christmas and I really hope that you move on - it is the only way you and your children will find joy & happiness and live fullfilling lives down the road.
