Welcome to Single Parent Gossip:
Single Parenting Is Rewarding and Fun!

spgscreensmallWe are proud to launch Single Parent Gossip today, a brand new website that is exclusively dedicated to what matters in single parenthood, its daily challenges and opportunities.

Single Parent Gossip reflects our passion for our children and our vision for single parents that peer-to-peer support, as well as easy to understand expert advice can make a huge difference and improve everyday life.

We (read more about us here) have created Single Parent Gossip with the goal to offer the currently 25.9 million single parents in the U.S. a fresh web resource with informative and entertaining stories, practical advice, a forum and access to plenty of experts that specialize in many topics that matter to single parents, including health, self esteem, co-parenting, better living, and child safety.

We won’t resolve your custody battle, but we will try to put a smile on your face every time you visit us. Educate yourself on single parenting topics, learn from others and share your experiences. We designed Single Parent Gossip as an open community that encourages communication among single parents.

We are both single parents and have worked on the idea of Single Parent Gossip for several months, trying to translate what really counts in single parent life into an approachable web format.

We are excited about the feedback we have received so far and are especially proud of the amazing range of contributors that have joined us already. More than a dozen influential writers are part of Single Parent Gossip right from the start, including book author Steve Garrison, Feng Shui and Empowerment expert Ellen Whitehurst, blogger and marketing extraordinaire Allison Nazarian, child safety whiz Pat McKenna, co-parenting authority Talibah Mbonisi, empty nester advisor Natalie Caine and self esteem expert Angela Stalcup.

Single Parent Gossip starts with four key sections:

- Our blog, which features essential, entertaining and current news that single parents are interested in as well as contributions from our expert writers. Every week, we will publish advice and periodic columns such as Weekend Fun That Won’t Break Your Bank, Geek Dad, Simply Green, Top 10 lists, It’s Just Money, Positive Living, Tip of The Day, as well as Child Safety tips. There will be plenty of posts that will ask for your active particpation and we will be frequently giving away products through prize drawings.

- Reviews, which will include interesting products as well as recommended books relating to divorce, custody, co- and single parenting. We will share with our readers what books we like and which we don’t.

- An open Forum that will allow Single Parent Gossip participants to connect with others and tap into a wealth of single parenting experience in today’s vast single parent community. Join our forum and start interacting as the community grows!

- Four Lifecasts from single moms Allison Nazarian, Shannon Ball, single dad and Marine Brad Beverly, as well as an anonymous contributor who has agreed to publish the letters he has written to his cheating spouse. You can’t get much closer to the lives of single parents than that. Consider it a reality blog.

There are many more ideas we are planning to launch this year to expand our topic range and touch single parent life in more ways. Later this month, we will introduce Single Parent University, which will allow you to participate in classes that will, for example, teach you how to create and run your own business as a single parent, provide tax and financial advice, give tips on improving personal health, wellness and self esteem. Participants will be able to mingle and engage with individuals who share a common ground: A one parent household.

Of course, we hope that you will come back to Single Parent Gossip often and benefit from the content published by our experts as well as many other single parents. But we also invite you to actively participate and help us reach single parents in the U.S. Stay in contact with us through the main website, Facebook or Twitter. You can also join Wolfgang’s personal Facebook page, which will give you a bit more background on his private life as well as his career as a journalist.

We ask you to be patient with us, as we are just learning how to build this site. Of course we hope that we offer answers and support right away, but we know that we will miss here and there. We invite you to start clicking around, check out what is already available and if you want, send us feedback what you like and what you believe needs to be changed.

We are excited about our opportunity to make a difference in your life!

Lisa and Wolfgang
