Who Are The Entrepreneur Idols Of Your Children?

awardThere is an obvious answer, of course, to that question. But really: Who are the heroes of today’s teenagers and who would be on those wall posters if they could choose any person? Here’s a hint: Oprah didn’t make the top spot. Take a good guess before you open the article.

Junior Achievement recently polled  U.S. kids aged 12-17 and asked them to choose the entrepreneur they most admired from a list provided. Respondents voted for “people who had started business enterprises themselves, as opposed to licensing their names and images to products produced by someone else.”

Here is the result:

35% of the votes came in for Apple founder Steve Jobs, followed by Oprah Winfrey (25%) and skate boarder extraordinaire Tony Hawk (16%). Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg was fourth (10%), the Olsen twins fifth (7%) and fashion model Kimora Lee Simmons sixth (4%).
We have already sent out a request to Apple for a signed iSteve poster, but haven’t heard back yet.

TG Daily has the full article.
