Pictures of Children on Facebook an Invitation for Pedophiles, report claims

sad-child

A website that promises to identify pedophiles recommends that especially single moms should remove pictures of their children from their social networking pages. “Many single moms are inadvertently creating happy hunting grounds for that subspecies of pedophiles who like their prey young – really young,” says Crystal the Jacquez, managing editor of Guys That Lie.com.

Single parents are a natural target for pedophiles and we may not take this threat serious enough, if we believe Jacquez.

“If you’re one of the tens of thousands of pedophiles with a taste for really young kids, how do you get to them? Children under five or six are just too young to be online by themselves.” “So what does this most dangerous form of pedophiles do?” asks Jacquez. “He surfs social networking sites looking for the pages of proud single mothers just aching to show potential dates how beautiful their children are and just hoping to attract men who will not only will love them, but will love their children too.”

She does not ask single parents to shut down the social networking pages entirely. However, she recommends that pictures of children are removed. Through her website, she offers a free service to check out the backgrounds of guys women meet online. “First, check our Child Molesters Section where we access the photos and home addresses of over almost 1,000,000 registered sex offenders. Then check him out in our Criminal Records Section. Then check to see if he’s using a phony name. After that, check out all his claims about his background. There is no way,” she says, “that you can be too careful.”

Her site leads you to PeopleFinders, Intellius, etc. Not free at all and a great way for her to make money off other people's paranoia. If you're really worried that the person you are dating may be a pedophile, you need to check with the state police of the state you live in. Don't rely on a website.

I've seen heaps of photos of peoples kids on Facebook. I'm sure they are too young to have a say in the matter. I hope they grow up to want to be all over the internet.
