Corey Feldman in 1986
Susannah Sprague, the wife of former child star Corey Feldman, has filed for divorce on October 22. The 38-year old actor and the 27-year old former Playboy model were married in 2002 and have a 5-year old son. The reason for the split: Irreconcilable differences.
Court records show that Sprague wants sole custody and spousal support. The filing outlines visitation rights for Feldman. In a statement, his representative stated that Feldman intends to avoid an ugly divorce: “Corey is deeply hurt and saddened by this unexpected change in their relationship, and has done nothing to contribute to the demise of the marriage.” The actor apparently hopes that the marriage can be dissolved quickly and amicably.
Feldman climbed to fame in the 1980s with movies such as The Goonies, Gremlins, Stand By Me and The Lost Boys. He dated Drew Barrymore in 1989, married actress Vanessa Marcil in 1989 and got divorced in 1993. Feldman married Susie Sprague on October 30, 2002 on the final episode of the first season of The Surreal Life.
