This book should be required reading for any woman who has been in an abusive relationship, physical and/or emotional. The focus is on the man and why he does the things he does, even if he claims he loves you. Women who are armed with this insight can have a better understanding of the dynamics of her relationship with her spouse which can lead to regaining control of her life and make it more likely for her to heal emotionally. Author Lundy Bancroft uses “he” for the abuser and “she” for the abused. However, even if abuse also occurs in same sex relationships, the bulk of what is described in this book is still relevant to that situation.

What may create and build friendships and relationships could also destroy it in the end. A British law firm said that “Facebook” was mentioned in 989 out of a sample of 5000 filed divorce cases.

Tiger Woods had fun, but there’s a tough time ahead. And it seems that after all the attention he received from, as of now, 14 mistresses, he seems to be adjusting, not quite voluntarily, to have time for himself. Even if he is unlikely to become the single dad who has to deal with many personal problems just on his own, he is now facing what is a much more isolated life than before.

All of them probably some truth, especially Fox News’ metaphor of a lone wolf.

It is official: Jon and Kate Gosselin are officially divorced. A Pennyslvania judge issued a final decree of divorce this morning.

Ending the drama of the past weeks, the Gosselin’s are now single parents and can go separate ways.

Having a prenup in place is typically seen as the man being in charge of what would happen in the case of a divorce. If Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren split, which seems to be certain by now, that would indicate that Nordegren’s share of Woods’ fortune may be limited. But there are reports that Nordegren is about to retain a high powered attorney and there are reports that she could challenge the rumored prenup. Will it hold up?

You can bet on virtually anything today, so it should be no surprise that you can also place monetary bets on the Tiger Woods divorce and your correct guess how much money Elin Nordegren will collect could yield a decent return.

Tiger Woods’ public apology almost sounded that there was reason for hope that his marriage could be strong enough to survive 13 mistresses. Now it seems pretty certain that Woods and Nordegren are aiming for the single parent lane. Nordegren is apparently building her case and sources close to her now say that a divorce is unavoidable.

Last weekend, we heard rumors that Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren may be splitting and now we are seeing plenty of buzz that this rumor in fact may be true. And Woods’ efforts to repair what has been damaged may have failed already. Apparently, his wife and Elin and his kids will spend Christmas in Sweden, while Woods will stay in Florida, hoping for things to calm down.

If gossip paper News of the World is right, then there may not be much left for Tiger Woods to repair. According to sources the publication is quoting, Nordegren is simply keeping the peace over Christmas, but will be filing for legal separation and divorce soon thereafter.

We leave it up to you to decide how much truth may be in this report, but common sense suggests that 13 mistresses may be enough for Nordegren to feel that the golf superstar is not the man she thought he was and Woods’ relatively weak apology may be too little to convince her otherwise.

In our last episode, we had the charming and sexy single dad about to bring the kids over to the ex-in-laws for a Thanksgiving dinner. Part deux of Thanksgiving 2009 starts with the drive over to the other side of town. Now, I thought I was listening to Hannah Montana. As a side bar, that is all I EVER listen to in my car with my kids…oh ya and High School Musical. For those single parents who feel my pain…can I get an AMEN!

Anyway, so I think I am listening to Hannah Montana, when in reality I was listening to the theme song from “Friday the 13th” all the way over there. Like many things as a single parent, it is NEVER as bad as it seems. The ex-wife was very cordial and the ex-in-laws were excellent hosts. The food was great and they even gave me leftovers. I made this amazing soup, and even the ex-wife took some home with her, so I know I did something right. After a great dinner and dessert, I left my kids with their mother and drove to my friend’s house to hang out with him and his wife. It was his wife’s birthday and they were having some people over for a round 2 of Thanksgiving and to watch a movie.

The final episode of Jon & Kate Plus 8 will air tonight on TLC at 9pm EDT. Ironically, the end of the show is also, as it seems, close to the end of the couple’s marriage as the divorce could be finalized by the end of year, Jon Gosselin’s attorney said.

Sometimes, life takes unexpected turns. If you will be watching Kate tonight taking her children to a dairy farm and Jon taking them to a firehouse, you are not only seeing the final episode of Jon & Kate on TV. It may also, symbolically, conclude their marriage. Well, sort of.

James Caan has filed for divorce from his wife of 14 years, Linda Stokes. Caan had filed for divorce from Stokes back in 2005, but later announced that the couple had reconciled.
