You can really write anything on Twitter today and if it is controversial enough, it will make Google News and, if you are lucky, even your local TV evening news. Yesterday, some notes from celebrity single dad Michael Lohan appeared on Twitter, apparently in response to reports that he is $15,000 behind in child support, which could be interpreted as suicide tweets. Lohan was in the spotlight once again, but now that those tweets are fake. Even ex-wife Dina bought the tweets, but asked Michael to drop by with a child support check before a jump from a bridge.

The open conflict shown by Michael, Dina and Lindsay Lohan is exemplary for what divorce counselors try to avoid: A scenario of conflict addiction instead of an environment that enables a healing process. Following the publication of Lindsay’s meltdown on a phone call, the actress has made a sharp turn against her father calling him a deadbeat dad who threatened to kill her mom. What else could go wrong?

Lindsay’s communication tool of choice is Twitter. Considering the fact that she has almost 111,000 people who read her “tweets” that may be a very powerful and possibly sensitive way to express her feelings.

As a single parent, one of your important life lessons is to learn to leave your selfish behavior behind and check your actions against your child’s needs. If common sense suggests that your intentions may have a negative effect on your child then it is reasonable to expect that you simply drop your plans. With that in mind, if you were Michael Lohan, would you have released an audio recording of a meltdown of your daughter to the public?

Don’t say you are surprised. Lindsay Lohan has reacted to the rather confused and irresponsible publc behavior of her father and twittered that he needs to be in jail.

According to Extra, she wrote “My father is a lunatic & doesn’t even deserve such a title since he’s never been around in my life other than when he’d threaten me & my family. He should be where he has always put himself after verbally abusing and physically abusing people all my life – behind bars.”

I have stopped scratching my head over Michael Lohan’s verbal accidents a while ago and I am actually convinced that he is in a race with Jon Gosselin for the most outrageous publicity stunts. Lohan’s latest contribution might be well beyond the comfort level of many and one has to wonder what it will take to bring him to reason. What does it take for Michael Lohan to comprehend that the prediction of his daughter’s potential death is not a topic to talk about?

We did not have to wait for this one too long. Dina Lohan, mother of Lindsay Lohan, has some advice for her ex-spouse Michael. Taking your private matters private isn’t such a great idea. Michael’s appearance on the Maury show was also an invitation for Dina to mention that he is six months behind paying child support and that he isn’t quite the dad he is supposed to be.
